Query Language

The text search engine allows queries to be formed from arbitrary Boolean expressions containing the keywords AND, OR, and NOT, and grouped with parentheses. For example:

honey bee

finds documents containing either 'honey' or 'bee' or both

honey or bee

same as above

honey and bee

finds documents containing both 'honey' and 'bee'

honey not bee

finds documents containing 'honey' but not 'bee'

(honey not bee) and hive

finds documents containing 'hive', plus 'honey' but not 'bee'

wax*

finds documents containing words starting with 'wax'
