a liquid sugar syrup formed by inversion, or chemical breakdown, of sucrose; this results in an equal mixture of glucose (dextrose) and fructose (levulose) which is sweeter than sucrose alone; commonly used in making queen cage candy.  A common trade name for this invert sugar is Nulomoline.
